Reheasal on For Mom with my lovely kids...

Harry and Sean are nice helpers and good players. Errin, learning piano from me, has joined my ensemble project. She loves to play my ensemble pieces with Harry and Sean. After Errin's piano lesson we have a short rehearsal on them.

Particularly when I play this song I miss my mom so much. As playing with Harry and Sean, I wish my mom was with us. If it could, she must have so pleased for watching us to make music together.

Harry and Sean's Korean Friends

Harry and Sean have many Korean friends among our neighbors. They look like real brothers because they like to play altogether very much and barely make a trouble. I love to sneak a glance what they are doing together.

Jeongmi's hand posture

Jeongmi is six years old. She has been doing great to play the piano. This photo shows how her hands and fingers are nicely on the keyboard.

Errin's good wrist posture for the piano

I took a picture when Errin got a good hand posture. She has been working hard to put her wrists up for relaxation. She is getting much better recently, so I am really proud of her.

The relaxed wrists are necessary to achieve a higher level on the piano.

Sean's rehearsal for juries

Sean had to play violin at the juries of String project just before the end of spring semester.
So, he practiced with me for it. At the real juries he was done it so well as much as even getting a round of applause from the juries.
Because the jury was promotional, if he passes it, we all three is going to play in the elementary orchestra next semester, in which Harry and I played.
Recently Sean's playing on violin is raising up quickly and he loves to play it.

Heechan's 'Christmas Parade'

It was the first clip for Heechan. It's been 3 months since he learned piano. Despite the short period his sound, tempo, and dynamics are great in this performance. Even with memory!
I'm so happy to see that he has been improving so fast and enjoy playing!

Rehearsal 2

Second rehearsal for Jah Jahang Gah. I am thinking to let Joshua, Geoffrey' younger brother, play Wind Chimes for the performance. Sounds are still rough :-), but hope they were having fun, while playing with friends on their instruments.

Jah Jahang Gah_Rehearsal 1

Yeh~ Harry's school classmate, Geoffrey, joined us to play Jah Jahang Gah!
He came over our house to sleep over with Harry and Sean. We asked him to bring his violin with him and play together. So, it was his very first time to play this music (of course, he's never heard this song before). He is a beginner who is learning some pieces in the Suzuki vol. 1 for violin. He had to learn the song and his part while playing in the ensemble.

Also, it was the first rehearsal, having all parts. So, I focused on the vertical alignment with even rhythm, correct note, and better pitch.

Jah Jahang Gah 3

Although there was no cello, that is, Harry :-), when Danielle stopped by we tried to play the most recent version together. I played recorder instead of Jaerock, my husband.

This is the first ensemble on my arranged Jah Jahang Gah, which has been editing since I found some parts to be fixed for easier playing for my guys and future beginner students.

Jah Jahang Gah 2

This is the second clip of teaching for the original song on the same day.

Jah Jahang Gah 1

Teaching the original version of Korean lullaby, Jah Jahang Gah. This is the first clip of teaching on the same melody for all. It has been done before the spring break.
